George Washington
George Washington was the leader of the colonial army when they crossed the Delaware River to attack Trenton. He was famous for being a smart general and the first president of the United States. He is famous for the myth where he said, "I cannot tell a lie" and there are many more myths about him being truthful Washington was born in 1732 and was brought up in Virginia on a plantation.
Lord Cornwallis
Lord Cornwallis was a high-ranking general on the British side and he was another very experienced soldier. He was leading the British army when George Washington attacked on Christmas. Cornwallis was born in 1738 in London. Cornwallis fought against France many times and then became a member of Parliament before going to America.
